Facial rejuvenation is a procedure or combination of procedures used to give the face a more youthful appearance. The treatment can include a variety of things.
We could start by rejuvenating the skin with skin resurfacing using a dermabrader, laser, or chemical peel to get rid of pigmentation, dyschromia and wrinkles. We can also lift the skin in various areas.
What are the most common facial rejuvenation procedures?
The most common facial rejuvenation procedures include lifting areas of the face and/or removing redundant skin and fat. By lifting the eyebrows, cheek fat pads, jowl fat pads, and neck skin, the face is refreshed. Removing redundant skin in the upper or lower eyelids or removing fat bulges in the lower lids, refreshes the eyes to give a more youthful look.
Bony surgery is another common procedure to rejuvenate the face where we augment areas such as the chin using implants or filler. These procedures are medically referred to as a brow lift, upper or lower blepharoplasty, eyelid tightening, fat removal, fat transposition, and face lifting.
How long does facial rejuvenation last?
There are lots of factors that contribute to the length of time facial rejuvenation lasts, such as the area of the face being worked on and the type of procedure being performed. Procedures to the bony areas, such as the chin or nose will last forever whereas lifting procedures are affected by gravity and tend to last between ten to twelve years.
Aging continues after a procedure is done and each person ages at a different rate, so it’s hard to give an exact quote on how long facial rejuvenation lasts. I can say that fuller faces tend to age better than thin or gaunt faces. A certain amount of fat makes the face look more youthful.
How much does facial rejuvenation cost?
There’s a range of factors involved in the pricing of facial rejuvenation based on the type of procedure or procedures being performed, the number of procedures being performed, the surgeon, and your location
My rate is about $45,000 for a total facial rejuvenation, but there are surgeons that charge much more in Beverly Hills.
